Veterans Assistance Commission of Will County An agency of Will County designed to provide emergency and interim financial assistance to Will County veterans and their families who are in need to meet basic living expenses. Basic living expenses include such things as food, shelter, utilities, personal needs, transportation and medical expenses considered essential to the health and well being of the individual or family. Hours of operation: 8:30 - 4:30, Monday - Friday. Location: 128 N. Scott St., Joliet. IL, just a bit over a block north of Jefferson and one block east of Chicago. Phone: 815-740-8389. Superintendent: Cathy Ketchem. The Commission meets the 2nd Monday of December, March, June and September at 7:30 p.m. at the VAC office. The VAC Executive Committee meets at 7:30 on the 2nd Monday of January, February, April, May , July, August, October and November at VAC Office, except on Monday Holidays. Contact the Commission through the VAC office. Commission and Executive Committee meetings are open to veterans and the public. |
